Our History
David Dykstra founded D.M. Dykstra & Co. in 1926, and his first shop was opened that year at 10934 S. Michigan Ave. in Roseland, Ill. By 1974, D.M. Dykstra & Co. had grown to include 17 trucks and 30 employees, and David Dykstra turned over management of the day-to-day operations to his sons, David Jr. and Richard. To this day, Richard is general manager of D.M. Dykstra & Co., which remains a familiar presence in the south suburbs. In 2001, D.M. Dykstra & Co. was acquired by Nicor Home Services.
Carrier continues to award Nicor Home Services operating under the D.M. Dykstra name with their highest honor of "distinguished dealer," an award given only to a select few dealers in North America to recognize dedication to quality service and complete customer satisfaction. We are one of just a few distinguished Carrier dealers in Illinois.

We offer a variety of financing options to qualified customers, including 36 months same as cash.
Nicor Home Services is still run much the way it was as D.M. Dykstra & Co. was run in 1926 – with a sense of community and commitment to quality workmanship and equipment.
